Vegan festival in Kettering May
For everyone wanting to embark on a different lifestyle this year or for those already a part of it, the Kettering Vegan Festival is an event to put in the calendar.
The event will be held in the Ise- lodge Community Centre in Kettering on Saturday May 27th.
The festival will bring everyone from the vegan community together and invites anyone to attend. There will be live music, food stalls, speakers and campaign groups among others.
The vegan lifestyle has become popular in the past few years. With many health benefits and animals rights it is easy to see why. The festival aims to show that anyone can follow a vegan lifestyle. It is a chance for people to see what others are doing with food and campaigns.
At the festival will be the Veggies catering group. They are considered to be one of the most ethical caterers in the market with 30 years’ experience. They make all vegan foods using organic and locally sourced ingredients. They have been voted ‘best vegan caterers’ three years running. They will be at the Kettering event serving all of this award winning food that is healthy and good for the environment.
The event will run from 11am-3pm and will be a great day out for everyone. It is free so you can turn up on the day with no booking needed.
Northampton Food Festival 2017
This year Northampton will host its first food and drink festival. It will be held at Becket’s park on the 14th and 15th May.
It is the first event of its kind to be hosted in Northampton and will see a full line up of celebrity chiefs. They will include Levi Roots, Jean Christophe Novelli, Theo Randall, Phil Vickery and Holly Bell. All held together by the inimitable Mark Lloyd.
All of them will be on the main stage of the event and in between there will be plenty of food stalls selling different cuisines and kitchen gadgets to buy.
As well as the food to enjoy there will be live music, wine tasting, craft workshops and activities for children. It will all be outside to enjoy the May sunshine (fingers crossed).
Sausage and cider festival May
This June will see the return of the annual Northampton sausage and cider festival.
All ciders are sourced from artisan produce
rs around the country, and local makers, and there will be bottled sparkling craft cider from CiderBods. There will be many food stalls selling a variety of sausages – from artisan hot dogs to Polish kielbasa, Boerewors and cheese and chorizo griddled cheese toasties.
It is fun for all the family with loads of room for the kids to run around, a free family circus with clown shows, storytelling and circus skills workshops.
